Obtaining global legal comfort for a US headquartered trade association to successfully launch a new tech product.

ISDA is a financial industry association which has established standards and frameworks that underpin the derivatives market. With over 1,000 members in 76 countries, ISDA aims to foster safe and efficient markets by promoting sound risk management and legal certainty.
At the end of 2024, we were tasked with supporting the launch of ISDA's new tech offering with S&P Global, ISDA Notices Hub.
The Platform
ISDA's Notices Hub is an online platform which launched on 15 July 2025 and was designed to provide market participants with a faster, safer and more efficient method for delivering and receiving critical notices under ISDA and other Master Agreements.
Launching New Products - Legal Support
When launching new products or services, legal should be part of the process, not an after thought. For certain tech products, as was the case for the ISDA Notices Hub, it was crucial to ensure that the actions contemplated on the tech platform were legally enforceable.

With experience managing external legal counsel in over 90 jurisdictions, we assisting ISDA in obtaining legal advice on the legal enforceability of its new tech product for its priority jurisdictions in good time ahead of launch. Clear scoping for counsel, timelines and budgets being determined early, ensured any local legal feedback was embedded into tech were required. Such robust checks are often missed when new tech solutions are developed. Obtaining legal comfort on notice delivery via the platform being legally enforceable in key jurisdictions provided ISDA's members with comfort that the platform worked, increasing confidence and adoption in the solution.
